Slippery Rock University's Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils hosted their annual Alcohol Free Mix-Off event on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 5:00pm in the Robert M. Smith Student Center Ballroom. Representatives from each sorority and fraternity on campus concocted their very best mocktails. Some of the drinks were original concoctions while others were the groups take on rather traditional cocktails, without incorporating alcohol of course. The event is held on campus every year and each year there is a new theme. This years theme was "Old Hollywood." The groups were judged based upon taste, appearance, correlation with theme, and what facts they have presented about alcohol related incidents on university campuses nationwide. The Alcohol Free Mix-Off was created to educate students on the dangers of alcohol use and show them that they do not need to be under the influence to enjoy each others company, mocktails will do just fine. Check out my thinglink of the event for more information!
