On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in the Robert M. Smith Student Center Ballroom a Cherry Blossom Festival will be hosted to commence spring and celebrate Japanese culture. The event is $5 admission and includes the opportunity to participate in many activities. The event includes karaoke, a Super Smash Brothers tournament, cherry blossom cupcake decorating, calligraphy writing, origami, a photo booth with kimonos, painting shitadashioto masks, tarot card reading, and Japanese children's games.

Slippery Rock University students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend the Cherry Blossom Festival because it is an educational event located on campus. The Cherry Blossom Festival aims to spark human interest in the Japanese culture and evoke emotions in the attendees to view the culture positively and have attendees leave the event on a feel-good note. The event is also within close proximity of all students, faculty, and staff by being located in the Robert M. Smith Student Center which is located rather centrally on campus.
Choose to spend your Tuesday night at the Cherry Blossom festival.
