Spring Break in Stockholm

11 students from the Communication Department traveled to Stockholm, Sweden with Dr. Peiritsch of the Communication Department for Spring Break 2019 from March 7, 2019 to March 15, 2019. On the way to Newark International Airport, the group faced some difficulties as the bus broke down on the side of the interstate just 45minutes away from the airport. Despite this small bump in the road, the group was able to safely make it to Stockholm, Sweden and proceed as scheduled. Overall, the experience was educational in numerous ways. Students were able to visit Swedish companies and discuss common practices found within the Swedish workforce. The group visited Impact Hub, King Street PR, Westander, and Scandic Hotels. Despite learning from the workforce, the group was also educated on common Swedish practices, old history, Swedish legends, and the typical trip to the Grocery Store for a Swede.
